Popular Post Enduin Posted October 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted October 1, 2021 Beautiful day, slightly less hot and humid than the past few months, I can feel that the grip of the Florida summer is loosening! This cigar is from a HQ 1/4 box from here. The wrapper is beautiful, minimal veins and something between a colorado and a rosado in color. Pre-light I’m getting straight-up honey. First third starts out with fruity tobacco, then a bit of stone fruit but not in the aftertaste. Some toast then a very strong but brief fruit note that reminds me of mandarin. Very interesting but so brief… it only lasts maybe half a second on my palate. The burn is very good until the end of the first third when it starts canoeing and needs a correction. At the beginning of the second third there is a very interesting almost frankincense note in the aftertaste especially after single pulls. Smoke production is medium and flavors are super interesting but again very fleeting. I find that with this cigar I definitely prefer single puffs instead of double puffs. Getting a very interesting almost tropical fruit super brief note when taking a pull after the cigar is colder and almost dead. This cigar definitely seems to change noticeably depending on the burning temperature. Towards the end of the second third I push my luck too much with trying to get those interesting notes with the cigar being cooler and the cigar dies. 100% my fault. I relight it and it’s still good and unchanged which is fantastic. Last third is just more of the same. Smoke is a bit drying and I need some water. After a bit the cigar start suffering to the 66% humidity and it starts requiring more frequent puffs. Possibly the most interesting cigar I’ve smoked this year. I’m not sure it’s my cup of tea yet but I can certainly understand all the buzz around it and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Total time 1:20min Final score: 90 10
Enduin Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 One question that I have about the Regios: how do they develop with aging? I know in the description the Prez mentions that he likes them within 2 years. What happens after that? Do the fruity flavors decrease with aging?
