Popular Post MrBirdman Posted September 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 19, 2021 Halfway through this box and been pretty pleased with it so far. This is about as old as I like my Superiores. This was the first that wasn’t great. Draw was good to start. First Third: Pretty mild start, mostly dried fruit and a hint of sweet spices. Second Third: This is where the cigar started going out over and over - the first one was my fault but the latter ones were the cigar. The notes above built in intensity, with an added coffee flavor, but the frequent relights resulted in overheating. Final Third: After going out for the 4th or 5th time I decided to stop fighting with the cigar and let it go. I hesitate to fault the cigar since the first relight was on me and could’ve compromised performance. So instead I’ll give the cigar a thumbs down for construction and a thumbs up for flavor, just wish I could’ve enjoyed the heightened intensity into the final third. 8
