Popular Post Akela3rd Posted September 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 19, 2021 I had a box of these last year, loved them and rattled through the box in the space of a couple of months. So, they came up again on 24:24 and I dipped in again obviously. However, after the usual couple of months' rest the first one I tried just wasn't up to scratch so away they went with a note to leave them be for a year. A month later and I had to scratch the itch... Beautifully constructed, slight rosado and sheen with a few minor lumps and bumps showing. Sweet light chocolate flavour on the cold draw. Both bands have a little movement which is a good sign. 1/3 Lovely rich smoke - creamy and slightly sweet, almonds and milk chocolate. My worries are already fading. 2/3 Holding the ash well, a bit of new leather here and there coming through but still basically Cadbury's Fruit and Nut in cigar form. Very rich, decadent. 3/3 A peppery aftertaste and a little bitterness starts to show but still very enjoyable to the end. Really should try and keep my hands off these for a few months now as there's definitely an improvement coming. These will be magnificent by next year. 7/10 with room to blossom. GVan Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Nice review, thanks! Been thinking about dipping my toes into the LE trend - still building my collection of regular production. A review like yours gets me thinking about a box of these.
Akela3rd Posted September 19, 2021 Author Posted September 19, 2021 These are LCdH regular production not LE. Not a bad price and they are generally very good. Dip those tootsies...Sent by spooky action at a distance 1
