Hoyo Epi 2 ubr ABR 19 (JBWRW)

Hoyo Epi 2 UBR ABR 19 . Bought the box last year and has a few. Meh at best. I put the box away. I just saw the box while digging around so why not try another. 

 

1/3 deep v cut. Very easy draw. Box had been stored at 68 deg 65 rh. 

Paired with a Modelo after some vigorous digging and concrete paver moving to get a semi permanent path from my driveway to my covered porch. Ground was very uneven along w a slope. Will wait to getting the landscaping done to figure out if I’ll start over w a proper base and nicer stones. For now, no more mud on the porch and I’m happy. Oh. The cigar. First draw was easy with cream with mint undertones.  Wow, I would smoke this every day. Light, creamy, dense smoke. Beer goes down quickly. It’s very hot.  Might take a dip w this cigar. 

Second beer. I mean second third …

Coffee and a lot of cream. Smoke production continues to be dense with a light draw. Is this really a Cuban?  Smoking more like a Dominican. Still like it a lot though. 

Man that beer is good and cold. Not sure which is better. I think the cigar but on a scale of satisfaction both are in the far right red zone. no flavor changes but who cares. Great stick. 

Third beer. 

Dense creamy smoke continues. Mint is all gone. Is that a hint of licorice or anise.Maybe I should have eaten something today. I can’t tell. Burn got a bit uneven.  Does that really matter though unless you are out of butane?

 

I wasn’t going to write a review. Alas my wife had a work call. So as my wife says, my pretend friends on FOH kept me busy. Thanks again @El Presidente for sponsoring a well managed forum. Among the things I am thankful for particularly the past 1.5 years. Civility, great discussion and frankly a nice way to learn from many around the world. A model UN of cigar aficionados. After the first handful of sticks from this box I stopped buying Epi 2s. There were other sticks I enjoyed more. Time was the answer at least for this stick. I may pick up another box of these at some point soon.
