Popular Post RichG
I wrapped up work early evening today and decided to go out on the deck for a smoke, a drink and some peaceful strumming. I straight cut the cigar and the draw was wide open. Poured a finger or two of Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros I just received, and lit up. The smoke started out with a wide open draw, unfortunately boring and flavorless. I have experienced this cardboard nothingness before in immature QD50s. The draw remained wide open, which surprised me as these cigars are currently at 69deg 69%RH. They are in a cooler with 65 Bovedas, but I need to control the atmosphere of the room better. Despite the wide open draw and seemingly underfilled construction the cigar burned very evenly. The flavor never changed and remained cardboard throughout. I will put these aside and try to forget them for a year or two before resampling. The rum was fantastic, and the guitar was peaceful…for about ten minutes till my wife and kids came outside and all hell broke loose! Can’t win em all, but it’s always worth trying! Also, I recently picked up that Blazer pocket torch based on searching old lighter threads here, where I believe it was @Ginseng that had recommended it. It is a powerhouse, and I am very satisfied.
