Londonguy Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Can anyone provide a some feedback of the their tasting notes of the new Galanes vs the Picadores?
El Presidente Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 I touched on the subject in the pinned vid review. Very different cigars. Chalk and cheese. Young Picadores have a level of mongrel/elbows along the lines as fresh PLPC. PLPC being a level above again. Now I am plenty of others on FOH enjoy that aspect. Some call it "youthful exhuberance" and others will say they are "unbalanced". You can pick the team you are on The Galanes surprised the hell out of me and I have had half a dozen now from differing boxes. No mongrel. No elbows. All the fundamentals are there for an excellent 3-5 year cigar (sweet notes, touch floral, frothed coffee) but it is all still a little guarded, closed. Ken didn't agree with me in that the flavours were a tad muted. I am intrigued by how the Galanes will come together over time.

I tried one and agree that they seem like one to try and age.
