Popular Post Akela3rd Posted May 31, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 31, 2021 At last the weather's turned and I get to go camping. My mix for a perfect morning involves a pot of campfire coffee, good company and a Party Short. The coffee's fresh and strong, made in my faithful pot and drunk from a wooden Kuksa cup. No-one else is up yet so I've got the fire going, brewed up and settled down for a cigar. It's a Party Short, young but these are generally satisfying at any age. It's a week made cigar and the draw is spot on. Slight sweetness on the lips before lighting and a hit of cocoa bitterness to follow as I spark up. It's lovely, delivering the familiar blend of slight caramel and dark coffee notes. As I spend a very pleasant half hour in the birdsong and sunshine it gently shifts between the caramel and coffee, neither dominating but rather complimenting each other. And that's it. Not a lot rise else to say. I finish it as the first of my colleagues emerges and get another pot of coffee on the go. 9/10 I'm looking forward to working my way through this cab over more mornings like this.
