I thought these were Minutos but after seeing an Monte 5 qualifying as a PC I checked CCW and these are as well apparently.

 

This box was a 2424 purchase, I have a couple left from the short smoke sampler on 2424 at the end last year and picked this box up after really enjoying the couple I had.

 

Humidor was 63% at 17c, started with a V cut but the draw was almost impossible so I straight cut right around the bottom of the cap, still firm but workable. I’ll have to remember to dry box these for a day or so before smoking another.

 

Construction was great, no touch ups or relights, ash held until around the halfway point. Paired with a cucumber and watermelon tonic.

 

The thing I liked most about the couple of these I had from the sampler is how different they are from everything else I have.

 

The first half was a pleasant coffee with some chocolate, light smoke, smooth on the retro.

 

Second half the smoke ramped up quite a bit thicker, a very sweet taste, what I guess is described as molasses in reviews. Continued super smooth on the retro, no spice or heat down to the nub with a smoking time of just over an hour.

 

7.5/10 flavour and smoke was a bit muted in the first half but the second really bought it up. Will try another in a couple of months.
