This the fourth one I’ve smoked from this box; so far they haven’t been the very best examples but they’ve been most enjoyable and excellent value for money.

Construction on this one is decent, although the draw is slightly more open than would be ideal.

The cigar is surprisingly full bodied at the opening. The famous caramel is there, but the opening flavours are predominantly wood and floral notes. The retrohale is pretty spicy at this point.

It soon settles down to a medium body, and caramel takes over as the main flavour, and totally takes over on the retrohale. The wood is still there in the background, as are occasional floral notes. 

In the final third the wood returns to the forefront and vies with the caramel to be the main flavour. Spice returns to the retrohale.

The cigar lasts 50 minutes.It isn’t the perfect PLPC, but it’s a very pleasant daytime smoke.

I really enjoy the plpc. Great smoke for the money. Mine have all been 2019 or 2020 though
