There are a few of these floating around. They're called barrilitos.

Interestingly, a site called old-cigar-items has this catalog pic, seemingly from 1971, showing the Majestuosos.

It looks possible that 1971 is imposed over the catalog page, and nowhere does MRN list this cigar post-Rev. It does appear to be a Spanish catalog, and the site does not they were listed outside of Spain as "Majesticos." I'm thinking these may have been available in Spain only, and MRN never came across them or a Spanish catalog. They may only have been available for a few years and Spain has a history of unique deals with Cubatabaco.

This is clearly a post-Rev catalog, and Fancy Tales of Smoke which is listed was cut "in the 1970s" so it clearly puts this in the 1965-1975 window. For some reason Lusitanias are absent which would narrow it down to before/after 1976 by vitola (109 vs Prominentes).

This is a cigar that MRN may indeed have missed. The first one I'm aware of. You agree @ATGroom?

I have the catalogue you're referencing unedited here. It's dated December 1971.

I don't think it's intended to show the complete range... or at least, I also have a more elaborate 1972 Spanish market catalogue which lists a lot more cigars. Interestingly, the 1972 catalogue (which also isn't complete for all Habanos at that time, but might be for the Spanish market) doesn't list the Majestuosos or picture the barrel.

So perhaps this was a short lived special edition type of thing.

If you go through the the old catalogues in detail you will find quite a few cigars that don't appear in MRN, and there are many other mysteries that show up as empty boxes on the website where Rob finds these pics. For the ones in the catalogues at least I assume this was more for reasons of brevity than that MRN 'missed' them as he certainly would have had access to these materials when he was writing his book. My understanding of volume 2 is that it is intended to be "complete" in a way that the first one wasn't, and hence is six times as long.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I love this place.  I am always learning or seeing something interesting.  Love looking at the nostalgic stuff El Prez provides!

Ah, I forgot you had that one. For some reason I didn't recognize the page.

So yes, it seems like this might fall into the category of existed only on paper post-Rev. The site claims their example of the Majestuosos dates from the 1950s. So perhaps these were only available pre-Rev but lingered in the catalogs until the 70s. We would have to confirm a Majestuosos barillito was made post-Rev and I don't know if we have one.

This may also be the case with another cigar that appears in the catalog: the Upmann Dobles Coronas. MRN never references this cigar and may have appeared only in a catalog post-Rev.

I am sure he has smuggled a load of pretty cigar pieces out of Cuba - but as for cigar boxes, especially Obras Completas ...  run a check of his reputation and stay far away ....
