One of my favourite small smokes and certainly one I stock up on when I can find them. Nothing fancy or complicated but remarkably reliable and tasty.
This box code has proved to be a good vein (3 boxes) and this particular stick was no exception. Well made and quite firm but not enough to mess with. Lit with a soft flame just because it was on the table and buggered it up but the cigar was forgiving and soon sorted itself out. Immaculate burn through the rest of the smoke.
They always start with a distinct sweetness which I think of as a molasses as opposed to the Shorts' caramel. Lots of woodiness and hints of leather behind the sweet and it continues this way for most of the cigar. Good smoke output despite the slightly tight draw and a lovely depth of flavour.
Into the last third a little black pepper comes through along with a ramp up of the leather theme.
Just lovely yet again. I ended up cutting this one a little short as it pushed the hour mark due to the tight but perfectly good roll.
If they ever announce discontinuation I'm in for a mastercase...

My 17s are coming along nicely! Excellent review. Just had 3rd out of box this week. Amazing what another year of downtime can do for these Party's
