Snowmobile Hillclimb

This is a hill in Afton WY,

 

 

I absolutely hated Afton WY when I competed. My first year I qualified my 600 improved, 800 mod and then came off 3/4th the way up on my big open mod and my sled rolled all the way down and busted it up bad. The following year I DNQ the 600Imp, Qualified the 800mod and then Hit the rock field 1/2 way up with my mod, busted my ankle and wanted my sled summersault to the bottom. 

Looks easy when things go right. 

 

Jackson Hole Wy was always intimidating and for good reason.  Lots of good hill help there though. Keep it pointed straight up long enough for someone to get to you, if not your hosting a parts sale in the parking lot. Good to see Sandy Sletten still at it. He was a year or two more experienced and would walk the hillside together looking for lines.
