Popular Post StogieSteve23 Posted February 9, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 9, 2021 @El Presidente thank you for sharing this. A wonderful short documentary. In 2018 when in Havana, we had the pleasure of seeing a game between the Cuban and US national teams at the Estadio Latinoamericano. It was by complete luck that the two teams happened to be playing a series the same weekend we were there. One of our friends in Cuba loves baseball (as most Cubans do) and knows I love the game as well. He told me they were playing and took us to the game the next day. As gringos, we were charged 6 CUC to enter while the Cuban's paid 1 CUC. A no brainer for me and small price to pay for something I never thought I would experience. Smoked an excellent Fauxhiba Robusto my buddy there gave me which made the experience that much better. The stadium in Havana like most of the country's infrastructure is in complete need of attention but it was a beautiful once in a lifetime experience. The day after the game, my fiancé and I were at Conde Villanueva have cigars and rum with Reynaldo, when one of the pitchers for the US team walked in to buy some cigars. As someone who grew up playing and loving the game, it was amazing to hear his experience of their tour playing all over the island. 8
