This is the last cigar of the Christmas sampler that I have in my possession. I was able to trade for the Esmeraldas and Party Maduro No 1, but they are still in transit. I haven't had any luck getting a single Supremos, but hopefully I'll be able to try one some day.

Setting: Mid-morning on 1/1/21, 25 F and a little coudy.

Paired with: Earl Grey tea with milk and sugar.

Cut: Colibri V-cut.

Pre-light: Slightly tight draw.

First Third: Unfortunately the cigar was damaged right after I lit it up. I put the cigar down on the table and it rolled off, hitting the ground and splitting the wrapper. It required a lot of touch ups in the first third to keep the burn even. But even with the mishap I still got woodsy flavors from the get go and a little bite in the nose on the retro. Towards the end of the first third the smoke in my mouth felt buttery and creamy with notes of hay.

Second Third: The wrapper and burn issues were more or less fixed by the second third and the cigar continued to have notes of hay and grass.

Last Third: The burn in the last third was near perfect with the same flavor notes as the prior third.

This smoke was very/good to excellent aside from the user error/mishap, and just shy of outstanding. It was a great way to start the new year and finish up the reviews for this competition. Thanks for reading.

3-4/5.
