Popular Post Shrimpchips
First review! Got these in the half corona sampler a little while back, and after the Trinidad Reyes, is definitely one of the tops of the class for me so far. Wrapper looks unremarkable, neither overly oily or dry. Construction feels good with no tight spots or loose packing. Cold draw gives a faint grassy taste, but not much else. The cigar opens with a taste profile that’s been consistent across all four of these I’ve had so far. A sweet molasses flavor, but not terribly rich or creamy. There’s also a floral overtone in there. Smoke output is good, and the ash stays firm with no burn issues. In the second half, the floral intensity kicks up a little and it hits me as frankincense. Not overwhelming, but pleasantly compliments the sweetness of the cigar. Again, burned this one down to a nub in just under an hour, very enjoyable cigar. Not a whole lot of evolution as might be expected with a short smoke, but the profile is pleasing so I’m not one to complain. Will be looking to order some more of these for sure.
