Popular Post cigaraholic Posted November 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 9, 2020 I was going to finish stacking firewood this morning but it’s so cold I decided to have a cigar and let it warm up. Don’t smoke these very often, don’t have many boxes, but I was digging for something and saw this box and pulled 2 out to try. Pulled the 2 lightest, this one is 13.9g. Nice box press and feels very solid, looks beautifully rolled. Wrapper shade is dark colorado, my favorite for LGC. Draw is fine, cold draw flavor is gingerbread. From the first puff I know I’ve lit a wonderful cigar. There’s a delicious mouth coating sweetness with vanilla cream, toasted tobacco, nuts, brown sugar and gingerbread cookie, what else could I want. It’s medium bodied. As the flavors come together I have dark toffee and toasted tobacco. The balance between the earthy toasted tobacco and dark toffee is perfect, rich but not overly sweet and a mile long finish. The beginning of the 2/3 I get a buttery explosion that turns to honey dripping down my throat. I made some coffee to have with this cigar but I don’t want anything to change the flavors, I’ll save the coffee for the last bit of the cigar. The last third is butterscotch, coffee and chocolate, reminds me of a dark See’s lollipop. Body stayed at medium the entire smoke. Time has been very good to this cigar, the last box I smoked, same code, was very good but this cigar has gone to another gear...or two.105 minutes of smoking bliss, now it’s time for the woodpile.... 12
