Popular Post SansSin Posted November 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 9, 2020 Intro I picked up a QB of these a little while back and forgot about them until i came across them trying to make room for some new additions ? the draw was good, maybe a little tighter than i like but not enough to inhibit my enjoyment. thought these had a really nice sheen and color to them which i think the flavors reflected. 1st third I got primarily cedar, leather and hay in the first third with the occasional hint of chocolate that slowly built as i got closer the the 2nd third. certainly the least interesting and enjoyable part of the cigar. 2nd Third As i went into the 2nd third the leather faded and the cigar became a lot smoother with notes of cream, chocolate, and coffee building as i go with a hint of cinnamon throughout, exactly what i expect when i smoke a monte 2. i loved the strong after taste of milk chocolate, like i just ate a hershey bar a min ago Last Third As i went into the last third the cream and coffee dissipated replaced by primarily a dark rich chocolate with the notes of cinnamon slowly increasing until i let it die out. not quite as enjoyable as the 2nd third but still really good since i love dark chocolate. Conclusion I don't think it gets much better than a good monte 2, it has all the flavors i love and seek in a cigar. these could probably use a couple more years to smooth out and really come together but even at around a year old they are great. i would rate this a 94/100, the flavors were great, the draw was good, and i had no issues with the burn or construction. these are worth all the hype they get IMHO and def box worthy. 6
