Popular Post Akela3rd Posted October 26, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 26, 2020 I've a few singles that are EL/RE etc but went with this as my Precious because it's the last du Prince in my possession. The last of four boxes I've had over the years to be precise. They've been generally very good little cigars and it's a great shame that they're no more, but cigars are there to be smoked and I'd hate it to pass it's prime. As with all of this box and the others I had, it has a beautiful mottled wrapper and lovely oily sheen. V cut, great draw, tea and cedar at cold. 1st - V slight white pepper tingle, medium strength, woody and suitably autumnal feel to it. Smooth on the tongue with cream and a little fruitiness in there too. Very enjoyable so far. First ash drop surprisingly early, thought it looked like holding on. Drop in intensity following this but warms up again showing a smidgen of mintiness.2nd - Settles nicely into a rhythm of alternating wood and cream, but with the slight fruit sweetness always present. Nuts and milk coffee are usual suspects but haven't really made a show yet. 3rd - Still creamy but there's a nutty pistachio thing developing nicely as I reach the end. Possibly the coffee was there but might have just been the power of suggestion...A bang of black pepper tells me its time to call it a day. Beautiful cigar and nice to end the run on a good one. 9/10The End. Sent by spooky action at a distance 8
