Blast from the past: Form and Function

From the Table Top Lighter thread you know that  I am looking for a few replacements. 

By chance, I came across this table top lighter from the 1930's.  Gorgeous. It is not flash but simply done. 

Picture holding it in your hand. Form and function personified. The right weight, the perfect tactile feel, the satisfying sound as the flame is summoned. 

I can't help but feel that we have lost much in our chase for economies of scale.
