Popular Post teamrandr Posted September 15, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 15, 2020 Not the most attractive wrapper. However it gets me excited. It has a bit of a brindle effect. Some dark splotches blend with a dark colorado brown. The aroma at cold has a faint cedar mixed with a wonderful espresso/mocha note. I am on vacation in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The sun is going down and I am posted up by Lake Michigan with my dogs and wife. 1/3 Opening draws are spot on. Just wonderful. Slight baking spice mixing in with cedar, espresso and a touch of well done bread. Retrohale highlights the esspresso. It is very smooth. Medium in body. On track to be real treat. 2/3 My wife and I do this UP trip every year on our anniversary. We pack our Subaru to the brim with supplies and head out on the road. Sure there are some ups and downs. Like getting rained on in the tent. Long hours behind the wheel and mediocre to go foods. Somewhere between great coffee and seeing waterfalls together the magic happens. The 2/3 is getting a nice body to it. The flavors are robust. Coffee, wood, bread all mixing in nicely with a touch of baking spice. Just splendid so far. Final 3rd Robust flavors coat the palate. Deep esspresso with the cinnamon clove spice. A rich tobacco with notes of roasted nuts. Full bodied for me. A definite after dinner type of cigar. A slight burned sugar coming through the mix. One of the best cigars I have had lately. Score: 94 Had to touch it up a few times. I feel like these may benefit from even more time. However the newer stuff may not need as much time. Either way they have legs. 5
