AVO Maduro Piramide - Unknown (PWR)

@MoeFOH I hope "any piramide" includes NCs.

I received this in December 2019 in a surprise sampler. I usually don't smoke bigger format cigars but this weekend seemed as good a time as any. Started with a straight cut. The cold draw was good, but once I lit up, the draw was too restrictive for good smoke production. I made another straight cut with little improvement. Ended up doing a deep V with the Colibri which opened up the draw with substantial improvement in smoke production. Early on I did note some enjoyable toast notes but only in the first third. With regards to cigar flavors, whenever I read about chocolate notes, I always imagined milk chocolate so never really thought I have tasted chocolate notes until this cigar. I realized that the chocolate notes being referred to were of bitter chocolate/cocoa and I was able to taste that with this cigar. Nothing overwhelming, but good. Burn was good with a few minor touchups. Overall enjoyable smoke. 1 on my 0/1 scale.
