Popular Post LLC Posted September 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2020 I have not bought any Monty 2’s for years. The last one I had were from 2007 and I finished them about a year ago. The last few of those were outstanding; complex and taking me on a journey. I recently did a split of a box with a friend and after 30 days resting in my humidor I decided to try one tonight. The look and feel if it was very good. No soft or hard spots just well constructed. I had it with an Americano. I used my Xikar V cut and used my single flame torch to light it. The cigar started well under medium with mostly a creamy flavor with a bit of chocolate. In the middle the strength came up a bit at just under medium but not much evolution in the flavors. It did require a touch up but construction and burn are good. The final third was medium moving to just above with the same creamy flavor and more chocolate but certainly not a chocolate bomb. In the end it was enjoyable especially for something so young with only a month in my humidor. I expect that give another year or two it will become even better. Overall I’d score it 91.
