Popular Post cigaraholic Posted September 6, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 6, 2020 Looking forward to a nice Sunday morning with the Italian GP and a beautiful cigar. One of the many things I like about Sir Winston’s is I can start or end my day with them, not many cigars I can say that about. Fortunately the fire close to me is all but out, I didn’t have to evacuate but I did move my cigars to a safer location. Unfortunately there’s a huge forest fire south of Yosemite that’s smoking up all of Northern California and it’s going to be a balmy 110 today at my house, so it’s a shelter in place Sunday. I’m down to the last 4 cigars from this box and they’ve all been delicious. These I put in a desktop when I was packing up my Aristocrat knowing they were the lightest cigars from the box. This cigar was 12.6g but I always find Sir Winston’s beautifully rolled. Wrapper is silky smooth with a colorado claro shade. First flavors are sweet toasted tobacco and vanilla cream. Turn on the TV and there’s no recording of the GP, it wasn’t on one of the threes channels I have set to record so now I have to wait till tonight to watch it. Time for the Tour Championship. I wish I could say more about the cigar but it smoked like a classic under filled cigar, no there there. Just 90 minutes of light sweet toasted tobacco and vanilla cream, not a bad cigar but not a good Sir Winston. Turns out this was the lightest cigar in the box. One other is 12.8g but the other two are over 14g, two badly filled cigars in a box of 25 is certainly acceptable and way better than the usual 5+ I’m finding. I do have a beautifully filled R&J Churchill for the race tonight. 6
Bri Fi Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Glad to hear you and your cigars are safe from the fires... I’m in Tahoe this week and it’s pretty bad up here too. Doesn’t stop me from indulging in some extra cigar smoke. Stay safe.
Bagman Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 2-3 cigars a day during most of the year, 1-2 during the winter. Been smoking for well over a decade. I have never had an under filled cigar (cuban) in my life. I thought it was a joke when someone brought it up a few months ago. I get more than my fair share of plugged cigars, so I guess it all evens out. Currently smoking a Partagas Luthy with 3 perfecdraw holes.
