Habana Mike
Always have been a fan of the Sol a Sombra/French Connection cocktails. Or as some say the Beautiful A Brandy/Cognac and liqueur blend - generally an Anisette with the SaS and Cognac/Orange liqueur with the latter. Typically 50/50 or 60/40 given your taste. With no Grand Marnier on hand tonight figured I would try Legendario EdC with the Remy to achieve a similar essence. Turned out to be a perfect sip! I believe the sweet rum liqueur mixes as well or better than the underlying orange in GM. With an Upmann Mag 46 '17 Give it a try!
BoliDan
Thanks Beard-man, Never heard of French connection drinks. Looks like the main mix is cognac and amaretto which sounds cloyingly sweet to me. I tried with an armangac and super funky Jamaican rum. They balanced each other out for two spirits that I normally would not enjoy as a neat stand alone. ?
