Montecristo No. 2 TAO NOV 19 (MRW2)

This box came in a little under a month ago from 24:24 clearance. The only Monte 2’s I have had before were aged 5+ years so I’m interested to try one fresh.

Snug draw which is perfect for me. Construction is beautiful with a nice Colorado wrapper. Smoke output is generous. Start off with some mild pepper but the predominant flavor is bitter chocolate. Not bad!

2nd third is more of the same. We are just a hair under medium bodied at this point. Chocolate flavors continue along with some black pepper.

Final third gives a hint at the classic Monte cream but fads quickly in favor of the bitter chocolate and pepper. Burn was great all the way through. Very satisfying at this stage however I’m thinking I will give them another year before trying again to get some more of the cream out.
