zigarrenziggy Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 First review, but it’s a good prize so I thought I’d give it a go. This particular stick is from a 6-pack off of 24:24, and my second from that batch. Initial Thoughts The cigar itself is well constructed and has a slightly rough Colorado Maduro wrapper that has an ever so slight sheen of oils. Pre light aroma is slightly sweet, some barnyard. The cold draw is not firm and not loose, just right. First Third The first few puffs were a little bitter, and almost floral. About 1/6 of the way in I started to sense a light cream note, which would persist the entire stick. At this point is also a burst of cocoa This is a voluminous smoke, and billowing like a chimney. Second Third The cream is still at the forefront with more cocoa and baking chocolate making its way through. Needed to touch up at certain points and takes a little bit of focus to keep it lit Last Third The flavors don’t change much at all, and the smoke stays cool the whole way through. Not much complexity, however, the last few puffs I got an unexpected gingerbread cookie finish, which was a nice change of pace. Conclusion Overall, I would say that this was enjoyable, but not remarkable. It’s presented some good flavors, but not many transitions. The complexity was low, and required some touch ups and attention, but a solid smoke nonetheless. Using my unscientific rating scale, I’d rate this an 88/100 Thanks for reading! 2
