Monte Edmundo UGO OCT 18 (MRW)

I got this box two months ago. The first stick I had from it at the 30 day mark was meh. I buddy of mine liked the size and asked to split the box before I lit the cigar. I agreed for lots of reasons, not the least of which was it had been a long time since I had a nice Monte. After smoking the first stick from the box I was glad I had split it. 
 

Another 30 days and a chance for a 10 box of Monte 2, so why not try another. My expectations were low, it was kinda hot out, so why not a milder cigar I thought. 
 

V cut resulted in a tight draw but no so tight I did any boring w the perfecdraw. Light was surprisingly sweet. First and second third were nice, mellow cream and light chocolate. Pleasant but not remarkable. Then BOOM. Flavors intensified and lingered. A light tingle to the lips. Aftertaste was Devine. I was, well, surprised. My low expectations were exceeded. Looking forward to revisiting this box again in a few months to see what develops. 
 

 

wrapper had some funky green spots in the last third but it did not negatively impact flavor. 

unfortunately I was smoking w/my buddy who has the other half of this box. He was smoking a Connie A and describing his smoke like an extramarital affair. Hard to rate a cigar highly when your buddy keeps talking about his cigar of the summer. 
 

he does have a nice ashtray though. I ultimately found a use for the perfecdraw at the end of the Edmundo.
