I grabbed this cigar and some Elijah Craig Barrel Proof bourbon late last evening. The cigar has a STRONG box press on it and sweet aroma at cold

After I clipped the cigar it was hard to get a bearing on the draw but it wasn’t too tight at all. After lighting it up I was able to get plenty of smoke pretty easily.

This cigar wasn’t nearly the mocha experience I had with a no 4 earlier in the day. This one was lighter and sweeter, more graham crackers and hints of hardwood right off the bat.

Approaching the end of the first third I noticed some almond flavors develop with the sweet graham cracker still front and center. There were the mocha notes hiding in the background, but they were mostly on the finish and retrohale.

Throughout the second third the mocha notes in the cigar picked up and the sweetness in the cigar was tamped down some. It was a nice change.

Going into the last third the flavors of the cigar remained the same with a mocha flavor and hints of graham cracker every now and again. It was pleasant, but the cigar became a one-trick pony pretty much to the end.

The flavors of this cigar were far from intense, mild and enjoyable, but nowhere near where I would have preferred them.

85 rating. A good cigar.
