dominattorney Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 long week deserves a good smoke. Still have a few in thr office humi, so off to the lounge we go for a coffee, mezcal and cigar. First impressions are that the draw is a little tight and the wrapper feels brittle. Hopefully this doesn't spoil anything. Decent smoke production depsite the tight draw, but it forces you to consume this one slowly to avoid over pulling. That generally does wonders for flavor so no complaints. Firs third is mild monte flavors that perfectly compliment the black coffee. Earth, light leather and cocoa with a hint of baking spice. Smoking slow brings out flavors of spice to the forefront, specifically clove in this one. Cocoa is never far away and the coffee emphasizes the subtlenrss of the cigar notes. The draw is fine but the wrapper split a bit. Nothing to worry about as the split was only an inch or two. Burned my fingers in a perfect finish. Smoked it down to about a half an inch and then let discretion be the better part of Valor. Always a good cigar to spend an hour and a half with, but the construction on this example could have been a bit better. 8.5 of 10 4
