Popular Post BeerPimp Posted August 25, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 25, 2020 I love Montecristo #2's and wanted to try other figuradors. I decided to grab a quarter box of these. I purchased these in 2019 but the 24:24 listed them as 2018 but I can't confirm. I knew going in based on descriptions and reviews that these were not my usual flavor profile preference. Even with that they are definitely one of my favorite cigars. I don't smoke them often but when I do I always enjoy them. Many have said that these from 2015 and before were considerably more full bodied but I cannot confirm that. I am paring this with Eagle Rare 10 which is one of those Bourbons in my area that are crazy hard to find. So I was surprised to score a bottle over the weekend. After cutting the cigar I get light tobacco flavor with the cold draw. The wrapper has some nice sheen to it. The first third is leather and earthy notes. The second third has a little less body. I am still getting leather but now I am getting some wood and light coffee notes. The final third and I am still getting leather and wood notes. With some very minor touch ups this burned amazingly. I give this a score of 92. These are definitely not something I would smoke all the time but I do enjoy them. 6 2
fokker4me Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Nice review, thanks for the current review. I haven't re stock these in a while, so a subtle reminder to do so. Lol As fast a strength goes these definitely used to be a stronger stick then they are currently, although I can't say I enjoy them less or more, just differently. I'm looking for these to come up soon on 24.
