Poor quality photo's but interesting "Maduro" designation on the bottom of the box. 

Purportedly 1870's.

It appears the wrapper color was of high concern in this era. Most boxes stamped with Claro Claro to Colorado Maduro to Maduro. Interesting that something of such high importance at a time when cigars were at their peak of popularity is of such little concern today.
