Popular Post StressedDad25 Posted July 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2020 First review ever for me, so I'm new to this. Been smoking cigars for many years now, but mostly NC until recently. Other than my buddy scoring some Cubans every now and then I didnt know I could buy direct. Jump several months ahead since learning and I'm hooked and have a few boxes now and several more on the way. One of them are these Party D'4s that are only 2 weeks old from me receiving them. I know I should wait at least 4 weeks to rest , but figured I would try one for this review. They looked great in the box, great sheen and aroma, love that smell of a full box. I decided to smoke this one while I was burning a large brush pile on my property. It had been sitting awhile so it was very dry and I figured it was 4th of July, a bonfire is a great idea. Back to the Cigar, I used a V cut that usually gives me the draw I want. I will say the draw on this one was a little harder than I would like, I'm sure that has to do with smoking it 2 weeks ROTT. First half of the smoke was full of spice, cedar, and more spice. The ash held up great and just smoking like I normally would, the ash lasted about half the cigar. 2nd half still had a tight draw, but I was very much enjoying the smoke. Seemed to have less spice the 2nd half and was more mellow with wood and cedar coming through nicely. Smoke production increased the 2nd half and I had a spicy creamy taste on my lips. It finished that way all the way to the end. The total smoke time was 40 minutes for me. I took my time and had to mess with the fire a few times. For a novice on CC, this would be a top 5 for me and would look to buy another box in the future. I rate this a 9/10, smoke time was great, flavor profile was just right for me, not too overpowering, and I could taste it on my lips for awhile after. Letting this box rest for a few more weeks then I probably cant resist smoking another one. Cheers! 9
Bri Fi Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Killed it on your first review. Nice. I got stuff to add to your burn pile too.
