Tomasito Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Hola Amigos - Question for those of you with a discerning eye. A new box of La Trovas arrived recently. Acquired from a reputable dealer. They passed the Habanos Authenticity Check, as well as they eye test. Smoked one and also seemed on point. However, notice the subtle difference in band size (two photos attached). The cigar on the left came from the Partagas Casa del Habano near the Capitolio. The one on the right is from the dealer box. Curious to get an opinion from those who are savvy in the Trinidad marca or LA Trovas in specific.
nKostyan Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Each band has its own ring range. Sometimes the big ring bands end and the factory "pulls" small bands on the big cigars If you unclue the band, the range is specified there 1

Follow-up question: can there also be differences in the actual boxes? In this case, the measurements/dimensions of the two boxes are identical, and the markings are the same on all sides. However, on the top/front cover of the box on the left, notice how the Trinidad logo and writing are smaller and positioned higher up. Thoughts?
nKostyan Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Check for other signs:- microcodes on the warranty seal- availability of tabacuba seal under warranty sealLook more here: https://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/packaging/information
garbandz Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 box codes the same ? possibly there are two sets of brands at different factories.lots of Trinis being rolled right now. or an old and new set of brands. old and new batches of bands,or substituting a band from a larger stick. I would not worry about it.

I thoughts the Trinidad "Standard Band B" was standardized across the board. Also was a bit thrown off by the discrepancy on the top flap of the box (the difference size/position of the Trinidad name/logo).
garbandz Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 " Yes the box codes check out. " NO. are they the same ? this is important to the inquiry.
