sw15825 Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Although this corona is rather rustic in appearance, the construction is very good. After using my hole punch cutter, the pre-light draw is just right with a perfect resistance tasting of cedar and grassy notes. The first third of the cigar is quite delicate with very smooth smoke. Like it is supposed to be, also (almost 10 years of age here), and it has done wonders to it !! Light but full on flavor. Hints of honeyed bread/toast, citrus, cedar and soft spice (white pepper). Part way through the second third it picks up a little strength, texture is still creamy smooth. The honey and citrus sweetness goes into the background with more earthy and woody notes. Into the last 3rd, the cigar has changed up a bit and contains flavors of hay, wheat and grass with subtle earth. The aroma was so very nice. The only negative was the burn becoming a little wonky, requiring a couple of touch ups in the last couple of inches. This was possibly due to a rapid increase of humidity when a thunderstorm left loose into a major downpour while I finished the cigar on my covered porch. Overall, I would give it a 94. Since flavor and construction are what I value in a cigar, I didn't care how it looked. It was so flavorful and fairly complex for a smaller cigar. It's too bad they are so hard to find, they must not roll them very consistently and prices are double with the new band. ? With that all said, I still hope they don't discontinue it and keep looking out for another box since I only have 4 sticks remaining in this box. 3
