It's been about 6 months since my last reveiw. Oddly enough, I saw quintero and thought, "lets.do this".

Lets a take a minute to appreciate this wrapper. Im prerty sure these are just random leaves they found in someones lawn. This will be a battle...

1st third: Tight draw, but not unmanagable. Not much flavor to be found off the bat. This is pretty typical from what i remeber about this box. Takes about an inch and then the flavors take off.

Theres a party of ladies not too far away (maybe 3 houses down). I can tell they are drinking and getting expotentially louder. Should make for good listening. Right now they are whining about car repair prices.

A bit of flavor coming in. Only cedar with a tad of coffee (not good coffee. Like Sanka). Medium body and strength. Also relit the banana leave wrapper twice already.

2nd third: still no flavors coming. I may have aged this out... I remember enjoying these more and getting a red fruit sweetness out of it.

OH! My smoking buddy came out. This is a baby bunny that my cat (aka cat never allowed outside again) it chased down, grabbed it by the scruff, ran directly to the basement, released it and then ran back upstairs. @BuzzArd im sure smoking cat woulf have murdered a bunny if it was able to catch it. But smoking cat 2.0 is an idiot...

 We caught the bunny in a box, gave it some asperagus and put it back in the lawn. It just hung out for an hour. He now comes out and eats grass next to me when i smoke at night. We named him "Snacky".

 

Flavor is kicking in definetely getting some fructose sweetness. Halfway through though.

Final third: My porch is under the master bedroom. The wife said the smell of this is making her want to vomit. Im quite enjoying it though. You want to know why I think they grind up stems in these? Everytime i retrohale it feels like fiberglass installation rubbing the back of my throat.

I tried eavesdropping on the drunk ladies. They seemed to have gone inside. No good gossip about Gertrude, im afraid.

Touch up #54. I should have donated this wrapper to my local fire department as fire retardant material.

Whooo. Kicking up to full strength medium body still. Very harsh. Burnt learher over taking fruit sweetness. Draw opened up though.

Cant do it anymore. The after taste is similar to a coating of soot in my mouth. Going to switch to a Coro.

Final thoughts: I dont think these are meant to be aged. I actually think these are the best short fillers after PLPs. Thwy are very reminiscent to RyJ mille fluers when young.

Ah quintero pantelas. They signal classy to broke Graduate Students everywhere. Like macaroni and cheese topped with ritz cracker crumbles, with a box of red.

I had a cat that used to catch things (mostly bugs, but once a mouse) and had no interest in hurting or eating them.  She just liked to put them down somewhere and stare at them.

I had a Fonseca No 1 like that this past week.  Absolutely horrid.  No wonder they wrapped it in tissue.  
Smokin’ Cat could probably give V2.0 some verbal lessons.   I’m sure she caught animals when she was on her own.  She’d catch and eat lizards when she was new to us,  but now she’s adopted a peaceful “live and let live” attitude as a Kept Kitty...

Ha. Yeah TEB was HOT. I was excited until i opened it. Maybe they were so good because they allocated the garbage to their cheapie production. TEB was the only box of RASS I ever had a religious experience in the entire RA line.
