Popular Post Sir Diggamus
This cigar was one that has been kept for years in a small humidor I kept at work that rarely saw rotation of cigars since I my usual pattern was to head home or to a client from work, not ideal for grabbing a smoke. This cigar was acquired some time in 2007 or 2008 as a single so I didn’t have the opportunity to receive the box code. The tubo was a little beat up and the cigar band looked like it had DEFINITELY seen better days but cigar itself was constructed very well and was very firm when given a squeeze. The first third started out with luscious earthy and berry notes. The draw was definitely firmer than I would like but not restrictive. I noted toasted almond notes on the finish. Starting off very good. The berry notes vanished pretty quickly and at the start of the second third there were leather flavors that began to emerge and I still had the wonderful toasted almond finish As the last third began the leather notes were still present interspersed with earth and hints of white pepper. Overall this was a GREAT cigar. The flavor profile reminds me of the days when I tried Bolivar for the first time. Lots of earth in there. It seems that the Bolivar blend these days is much more tame. A score of 89 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
