Popular Post leafdream54 Posted May 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 4, 2020 I’m generally not a fan of hand cannon sized cigars, however, because I am a fan of Bolivar, I wanted to see what this cigar had to offer. Also, this is my first time to try this cigar. Nice oily wrapper, v-cut and the draw has a little more resistance than I prefer, but acceptable. 1/3 toasty & earthy 2/3 makes a big flavor transition into excellent dark flavors of guiness with hints of licorice 3/3 returns back to toasty and earthy with quite a bit of youthful bitterness showing up This was a very flavorful, medium bodied cigar, from start to finish. I really enjoyed the flavor transitions this cigar offered, and believe that it will continue to improve greatly more with age. Total points: 92 ->with good upside down the road 8
Wookie Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 I smoked this ROTT and it was underwhelming. 5 months later I tried a second and it was fabulous. Very bright future. Review is spot on!
leafdream54 Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 Thanks. ..I think that anyone that is a fan of the Bolivar flavor profile, should give this one a try.
Islandboy Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Nice review! I love these, just had one at about 2 years old Saturday night - flavor bomb! I actually prefer these with a bit of mongrel - I have a box of 4 year olds that’s almost lost too many of its rough edges for my liking.
Kayslay Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I feel like these cigars can go the distance easily. Flavor was very bold and intense for me. I see age corralling that intensity a bit.
Hoepssa Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Recent two years I had some Libertator, they tasted incredibly smooth and sweet, you know these are not typical Bolivars. Most products taste better when young now, it's a good thing, but that pushed me to buy some "old classic" items which hardly changed their blending.
