Popular Post CampDelta369 Posted May 2, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 2, 2020 Montecristo No.5 ASU JUN 18 (SvHC) 1/2: It starts off with dark coffee, cocoa, cream, and a touch of baking spice. Construction is solid with a firm draw producing good smoke volume. The ash is a firm whitish grey. These have been a core humidor CC For me as they are typically Med+ And exhibit great flavors. There is a bit of woodiness on the finish which I have found more on the younger dark PSP wrappers. Burn is excellent with no touch ups. 2/2: This really levels out into a enjoyable smoke. I get some nuts on the fringes and occasionally that citrus twang although ever so slight. The strength steps up into the end of this half. Full flavored all the way now with some bitter coffee notes. Overall excellent straightforward Monte profile. I have found the lighter wrappers yield more creaminess young. My absolutely biased score of 90. 8
