The Monte 2 has a place in my humidor because to this day a 5 year old Monte 2 smoked on my 5 year wedding anniversary is still the best cigar experience I've had...ever. It is the cigar that solidified my decision to ramp up my CC purchases to try and acquire and maintain aged stock of CC to smoke.

I got this box from our gracious host and it is hq quality. I've now smoked 7 from the box. Most were good, the one before this was great. I decided to smoke it while playing in the poker tournament. 

Straight away the draw is plugged! I spent a lot of time with numerous runs with the perfecdraw to get it to a smoke able level. You can see in the photos how much I pulled out. Way over filled. I suppose I can take solace in the fact that no amount of dry boxing would have made it better. Once I got a decent draw it had good cocoa, coffee and cream flavors until...it plugged again!

Went at it with the perfecdraw again but no luck.? Got knocked out of the tournament in 4th place. Disappointing all around.? Such is life. I give the cigar a 30. What I was able to get out of it was tasty and probably more than a third of the cigar in total. I give the tournament a 9 out of 10. Good fun, gents! Thank you!

Sorry to hear about the plugged draw. I have experienced a handful of plugged Monte 2s from my REG JUN 18 box, but luckily the PerfecDraw has saved most of them. Hoping the next one out of the box is better for you.
