cbenham73 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 I had a Partagas D4 with a very loose wrapper. I applied some organic honey to the area and let it rest for 24hrs. This morning I decided to try it for a morning smoke. The wrapper remained intact, but the burn was slowed when it encountered the honey. Lesson learned, apply honey more precisely or utilize cigar glue. 1
The Squiggler Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Maybe 24 hours wasn't long enough? Cigar glue (or gum arabic solution) might work better in general, but maybe letting a patch glued with honey rest for a week or so would work better. I have some cigars I patched with honey last year still sitting in my humidor. They definitely look way less sticky than they did for the first few days, but I have yet to test one.
Piligrim Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 I always use cigar glue I've got from Cuban torcedores. Works great.Отправлено с моего ONEPLUS A5000 через Tapatalk
