Popular Post CampDelta369 Posted April 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 11, 2020 Trinidad La Trova RAG MAY 19 (BGRW) Cold nose is sweet barnyard with earthy notes. Construction appears excellent with some minor blemishes. This being only my second one as I tend not to favor A larger RG in general but this example provided ample smoke. 1/3: starts with rich earth and buttered popcorn with sprinkle of salt and leather. Burn and draw are perfect with flavors mild-medium. The flavors are blended well here with a buttery richness on the finish which makes this quite unique experience. Ash is a firm whitish grey holding easily through the third. 2/3: some woody flavor adds to the mix along with tannins that make the finish a bit drier. Strength overall goes to a medium. The original richness and flavors are still present and competing for center stage. Not a boring show at all, and at the half pole it seems the rich butters are winning out. 3/3: charred Unami on the edges as burn remains excellent. Some spiciness builds on the finish and we go to medium+. Overall an impressive cigar for its very young age. No harsh edges here and I am interested where it goes in another year. A solid 93 right now. 14
Goodfortune Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Nice review! Sounds like a winner! Was so close to pulling the trigger on a well priced box the last time they were up on 24:24... think I will have to jump on them next time. 1
