Diplomatico No 2 - LGR ABR 18 (SMRW)*

I had these kicking around from a box split I did a bit ago. Had a few but they never left a lasting impression on me...decided this was a good reason to revist. I had kept the worse looking examples as tradition goes. 

 

I lit these up on a very lazy, raining day here which I was hoping wouldn't effect burn and luckily it didn't. 

 

1/3 - Blasted me with a bit of pepper/spice? Weird...luckily it went away very quickly and settle down. Dry grass mostly. 

2/3 - Oooh this is fun. Partagas sourdough with monte coco. Bits of that grass floating in there. Decided here to start organizing the garage...quarantine makes you a bit stir crazy I guess? Switched towards the back end of the 2/3 to nougat, shortbread-ish, Getting some more Partagas vibes here. 

3/3 - Burnt carmel, with a little bit of espresso with cream. On the retro Im getting what I can describe as a touch of cinnamon. Finished mounting a wall organizer. Even with being distracted this cigars flavors were dancing on my tongue the whole time. Really impressive. 

 

Ended up nubbing it with no harsh flavors at all. These might go to the torch another time this week. Great departure while keeping in line with my favorite Partagas.

Just had my first Dip 2 in years a week or so ago and I had the same thought: Partagas Sourdough meets Monte Cocoa. Great review!

Funny for me, I have a couple boxes and haven’t smoked a single one yet!
