These were ordered last summer during the height of the QDO madness.  Although they do have many of the subtle characteristics some of the QDO fans have described, I have not been all that impressed.

Although the others from this box had a crisp, even burn line, this one did not.  Oh well.  Hardly a disaster.  It just required constant touch up.

Pre-light aroma had nothing remarkable to report.  Faint cuban tobacco and cedar imparted from the DM humi that contained it.

First half was generally mild with a grassy, citrus sweetness.  Pleasant but uninteresting.  This pretty well describes the stick from beginning to end.

Second half had a little more "umph," but not much.  Sweetness faded, grassy, twang, citrus and light cedar was about all there was to it. No evolution to speak of.

Frankly, if these QDO 50s are representative, I don't get the hype they generated.  Yes, yes, I know: 3-5 years and smoke them very slowly.  I was only able to apply the latter.  Still don't see a lot of potential development into something that has the backbone to pique my interest.  All I can say is pleasant, sugar free smoke.

I give it a "C."
