Partagas E2 MSU JUN 18 (PPPRW)

Last night I smoked a Sig VI and said that the E2 could be just as good at half the price. I was wrong. A good E2 can knock a VI right down.

Great looking stick, with a snug draw. This was classic Partagas from the off. Roasted red peppers, acidic bready twang, smoky sweet paprika spice. A great match with savoury Middle Eastern food. Full rich flavour, but smooth and medium bodied. Needed a few touch ups but decent construction. Gentle build rather than much evolution / transition. And (like recent Lusis) smoking great despite relatively recent June 18 production. Score: a strong 1 (on the 0/1 scale).

From Partagas I smoke the Shorts, D4, E2 and Lusi. This is quite a bit bigger than the D4 but fills the same sort of time for me, with more (and milder) smoke. It’s not the commitment of a Lusi, but gives a less complex ride. Deserves its success all the same.

Really like the E2 - my experience has been similar to yours. Great smoke.
