Popular Post TTP21 Posted March 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 3, 2020 I acquired this 10 box last summer with some age already on it and have gotten mixed results. Never a bad stick, just unimpressive ones mixed in with solidly average ones. The review weekend and a recent positive review from @MigsG of one I sent in a trade led me to try once more. I'm glad I did. This vitola still sits behind the 5 and PE for me, but a few more good ones may improve its standing. Burn/Construction: spectacular. A bit uneven, but never required any attention. Dryboxed this one for 3 weeks. First third: Biscuit, honey, cocoa, citrus, with a bit of a Monte edge. I see how age is impacting this one and it's certainly for the better. Second third: more of the same, more of a dark cocoa, and an interesting hint of unsweetened coconut as well. Cedar notes as well. Final third: More of the same above, but a interesting rich, almost beef like taste. Score: 91/100. I have no complaints here. I didn't love the cigar and its flavors, but that's solely reflective of me becoming more selective with my taste as I gain experience. This was a fine, well aged(relatively), and enjoyable cigar. I'm not going deep - that's reserved for PLPC and Party Shorts in this domain - but I'm excited to age the remaining cigars and see how they evolve. 7
