Popular Post Rhinoww Posted February 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 24, 2020 Last week I took a Connie A to join me shooting some skeet. It was quite cold and that cigar warmed me up. This week it was in the 40’s and sunny. I’ve been wanting to try a JL no 2 I picked up from someone on this forum. ARW seemed to be a perfect reason to dig it out of the Coolidor. unfortunately I don’t have the box code on this 2017 stick. my initial impression was that it was a quality stick. Cigar was stiff w no underfilled areas, wrapper had a nice hue and was smooth and it just felt like a higher end cigar. I opted for a V cut and had a very easy draw at cold. Upstairs Humidor has been running a bit low, around 55 rh at 70 deg. I was concerned it would burn fast, but it didn’t. Only one touch up after a bit of an uneven area. Flavor was enjoyable. A light start moving in a healthy dose of chocolate for the first half. I was wondering if there would be much of a change to the flavor then whammo, quite a bit of earthiness and a bit of a metallic feel in my mouth. One could almost compare it to a start w milk chocolate and transition to dark chocolate. Not much other variation or flavor development though on this stick quite enjoyable through and through though. I’ll look to pick up a box in the next several months. 6
