TTP21 Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Quick little cigar when the bad weather broke for a bit here. I'm impressed by the flavor they pack into these little guys. I've not had a Trinidad Short, but I put this in the same general category as them and a Cohiba Short, which I have loved. I'm of the opinion that when time is short, CoSho wins out over these guys, but I wouldn't turn a Demi Tasse down. On to the review... First half starts a bit strong. That said, no crazy developments and it solidly stays in the twang, tobacco, flavorful department. It's a bit harsh, but I suppose that's expected. I don't find these to be much like a CX at all. Second half abandons the sweetness and settles in to an espresso and tobacco flavor without the depth of a Monte Media Corona. Smoke output is surprisingly high, construction is perfect. It's hard to complain about what this vitola delivers all things considered. Overall: I'm an admitted fan of Cohiba Short. Add in that you can smoke 2 in the time it takes to smoke one of these guys and I'll choose to invest there if I so desire to expand in this size arena. That said, now almost a year into my CC journey, I'm debating whether it's even necessary to carve a spot in my humidor for cigars this size. A debate for another day, I suppose. This rates a solid 88/100. 3
