Morning/Everning:

The intro depends on where you are. I am from Seattle, Washington and have been a customer of FOH for years upon years. I was hoping to visit FOH while in Sydney except Lisa informed me it's requires a flight. A few questions I have is how many cigars can I bring with me to Sydney without having to pay a sin tax? Second, since I smoke basically 2 to 3 cigars a day and will be boarding a cruise ship for 63 days in transit from Sydney to Vancouver Canada where can I buy cigars by the box in Sydney? Any help would be appreciated.

Bring in is basically 5 cigars per person.  The legal requirement is based on weight but 5 is normally allowed.

Local boxes not sure, but if you are booked into a hotel for a few days, you could have a purchase (from your favorite vendor ?)  sent there for you to collect.

Enjoy the trip!

Bring your own.  cigars here are taxed at $1291 a kilo + 10% GST + they are plain packaged.

Come on down, feign ignorance, if you pay you pay but it will still be cheaper than buying locally and you get to smoke what you want.

When the limit was 50g of tobacco, 5 cigars was acceptable, but they reduced the limit to now 25g of tobacco. You could feign ignorance of the weight of 5 cigars, I guess.

Just remember to declare any food items or prescription medication. Sydney Customs officers can be a real pain in the arse, especially when it comes to undeclared food. If you get directed to lanes 4 to 6, start loosening your belt and unpucker, as you may be in for an extensive inspection.

Helps if you arrive when a plane load of my Asian brethren are going through Customs at the same time (though, not likely at the moment). They always get pulled over to Inspection, as Channel 7 need more footage for the "Border Security" tv show. :rotfl:

yes best bet is to bring your own and hope you don’t get X-ray searched at the airport.
