I have a standard line for my B&M clients/mates.

If you are struggling to justify it to yourself........they are not meant for you :D

Piggy, others, a cigar is just a cigar. Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em. You light up my life. A penny saved is a penny earned.

But on a special night, a 60- 72% Barrel bourbon for me and Sea Smoke red for him. A GR something or older RE From somewhere we traveled and brought back. Music and Hockey or Baseball on TV.

Bring it on.

Cheers!

Thank you to all of their interesting opinion. I think I'm gonna go for a few sticks. It won't kill my budget and I m interested in trying some. I haven't been the biggest fan of LE, but some are great for my palette

I think you can give an informed opinion on them. A dud is a dud, even more so (not less) when you're paying $100 or $150 for a single stick. At that cost, every single stick should be a perfect 10, in every measurable category, otherwise, whats the point of such an elevated price?

NC producers can bang out a box of 25 identical sticks for $3 or $4 a stick. If I'm paying $1,000 or $1,500 for 10 sticks, perfection isn't an unreasonable request.

I don’t disagree. I only have three boxes of reservas, HU #2, Lusis, and the SW. There is some variability cigar to cigar, though less than for regular production (as one would expect). But it does happen. I am fairly deep on BHK and have definitely experienced some variability there too (granted they are not as high on echelon as reservas, but a super premium product nonetheless).

I find consistency far superior w NC as well however I hate an open draw and find many NC to feel a bit open to me.
