Popular Post rcarlson Posted December 15, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 15, 2019 I like my Mag 46 like I like my women: oily, well-constructed, 46 rg. Oh, and young -- that's how I like 'em! I love the corona gorda format. This one is beautifully rolled. Just the right resistance with a firm, stacked, light grey ash all the way through -- almost always the case with the many Mag 46s I've been mowing down of late. Now, I like my cigars and women to be "classy" too, but that's not the right term for this one. I'd say more "spirited" and in your face. A pungent mongrel core with leather, licorice, earthy, baker's chocolate throughout. Since you asked (or should have), "yes," that Upmann DNA is unmistakable. However, I've never found the stalwart Upmann richness, depth and evolution in the Mag 46 Freshman Class. And that's totally cool with me. I find the consistency of the Mag 46 uncanny. I've had them from all FOH grades, this one being from a recently acquired HQ offering. But regardless of grade, the burn has almost always been excellent. I dig young Mag 46s. I give this one a well-deserved "A -." 8
rbi Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 I've got a box of these ordered that should arrive soon, so looking forward to seeing if I get the same type of experience from mine.
